Pearson Certificate for Practising Teachers (CertPT)

The Pearson Certificate for Practising Teachers (CertPT) is an internationally recognised teaching
qualification awarded by Trinity College London and designed by world-class subject-matter experts
from Pearson. To qualify to apply for the CertPT, prospective candidates must have:

  • A minimum English language proficiency of CEFR B2
  • An initial teacher education qualification, e.g., a Trinity CertTESOL, or local state sector
    qualification, plus a minimum of 6 months teaching experience

  • Substantive teaching experience (at least two years) that allows a candidate to complete the
